Can you imagine dropping off your three year old son to be raised by a man who couldn’t control his own godless sons knowing you would only see him once a year? And then be so happy about it that you sing all the way home? This made no sense to me.

Contrary to a popular movie, it is not funny when a child fails to launch, but in today’s culture it happens for many reasons. A mother can encourage her child towards maturity by clear communication, working with the child to make plans for gradually taking on increasing responsibilities and being firm with the necessary negative consequences of failure to fulfill responsibilities.
