When God begins His work in us, He begins to build up - in the core of our spiritual beings - a strong enduring expectation and hope in His person and in His Word.

Jesus never will deny your honest fears. He will never dismiss them.  But He does ask us not to be afraid of what is frightening.

Do you want your faith strengthened so that you willingly obey even when you can not see the end from the beginning?

Faith sees Christ as the greatest treasure to be sought after.  And this faith makes us want to be near God.

All of the examples of faith in this chapter were laid down to encourage you - If God helped this person, If God kept His promise to that person, God will help you. God will keep His promises to you.

The writer of the book of Hebrews encourages us to listen to Jesus and in doing so, gain strength for our walk of faith and find rest along the way. 

Faith does what is right even though . . . Others may feel uncomfortable (Abel/Cain) It’s never been done before (Noah) You don’t know...
